  This church family was exactly that from day 1 to me and my kids. I was raised strict southern baptist; so habit was to always go to baptist churches. The only thing is though, once I became a single mom I started being treated differently, to put it bluntly, treated as less and shunned by the women in the churches most of all. When I walked through the doors of Life Church with my kids for the first time, the first members of the body to greet us were the women. My mind was made up then and there before we even hit the sanctuary that this was going to be a church we stayed with for a while. And then we entered the sanctuary, and pastor Greg started speaking. His first words were "There is someone here today with a very heavy heart"; I burst into tears. I won't go into detail as to why, but my heart felt like it was ready to fall out of my chest. My first visit here also happened to be mothers day, that's a whole other story in itself. After the first service I was hooked, we came to a special service with a guest evangelist, he laid hands on me and prayed for me and I was filled with the holy ghost that evening, something I was raised to believe was not supposed to happen to just anyone; it happened to me, and I spoke in tongues for the first time. I'll be honest, it was weird and it scared me! But it also changed me. My body felt like the spirit swelled up inside of it and started pouring out of my mouth. My heart was lifted, My eyes were opened, and my life changed that night. Life Church became my family's church, we are done searching. God put us where He meant for us to be, and He has shown us love, and mercy through these people. Thank you everyone at life church, thank you Greg and Rachel; i just don't think you know the extent of the blessing y'all and everyone else have been to us. There's never been another church that has reached the level that yalls has. We are blessed. Thank you, all of you.
